Task

Can you determine the area of the original Walking Purchase and then recalulate using your own new more accurate assumptions?

Three person team roles:
- Leader: Guides the team, ensures work is divided evenly and that the team stays on track to complete on the project on time.
- Lead Estimator: Takes notes and documents all calculations. All team members are responsible for doing and understanding the calculations.
- Map Reader: Responsible for neatly tracing the map areas on the map.

Here's what you need to accomplish and turn in:
1) Prepare a rough estimate of the square miles from reading the background information. (show your work)
2) Prepare a more detailed estimate by using maps to sketch and measure the area. (show your work and turn in your map.)
3) Do your own estimate using your own assumptions of speed and distance. (show your work and turn in your map)
4) Provide a short written summary of your observations relating to the math or the social impact of the Walking Purchase. (1-2 pages double spaced)

Good Luck!
