Tell Me

Teha, Guardian of All that is Natural

Have you heard the message?
Seen the writing on the wall?
Read the ancient Warning
Sent by those before the fall?
Ever had a bad dream,
And awakened in the night?
Seen your reflection in a mirror
And turned away in fright?
Stepped into the Garden
Where those in pain once stood?
Felt the fleeting memories
Of those who died in childhood?
Known the dying thoughts
Of the ones who came before?
Seen the battered bodies
Of those now bruised and sore?
Sung the silent lullaby
To the child in his bed?
Ensured him that the hiding beast
Was no longer in his head?
Seen the loss and suffering,
Which you brought upon yourselves,
When you sent your children off to war,
When they're barely the age of twelve?
Gazed up at the midnight sky,
And wished upon a star,
Hoping that your home could be
Exactly where you are?
Ever played with seeds of time,
Just to see how they would work?
Shined light into a corner
Where the darkest shadows lurk?
Looked through the eyes of a thunderstorm
To watch the lightning as it swirled?
So you've seen the present; future; past;
But tell me, have you seen the world?
