Engraved in Stone
The book and the pen,
Silently engraving the inspirations
Of the mysterious soul of the writer.
Who lets their feelings flow,
Like water,
Onto the pages
Of history, whether it is to
Be read by any other,
Or just their own eyes.
The secrets of their experiences,
Explained in words and syllables
That let the reader
Understand their love, their joy,
Their pain, their sorrow.
Witnessing the writers life,
Through life changing words,
Their thoughts,
Exposed on paper,
Expressing their beliefs, and motives,
On the sealed and bound leaves.
Chaining emotions forever locked away.
No way to destroy, or take back,
The events of the writing of the imaginative,
Encrypted pages of their life.
No-one can understand the messages,
Confused throughout the soul-felt hieroglyphs
Which describe the thoughts,
The feelings of the writer, as they
Use the pen, to engrave the actions,
Of their past, inside the book.
