Well, I discovered a web-based 'contest' at nanowrimo.org which challenges you to write a 50,000 word story (which supposedly ends up being somewhere between 175 and 200 pages)--all within the month of November. So I signed up.
So, you're going to write a novel. In 30 days. That's the thought, yes.
Have you ever tried anything like this?Umm, nope.
Are you #@$#&$%^ing nuts?Probably. At least there are friends and people I know trying to pull off the same thing. As well as thousands registered on the NaNoWriMo website. So I'm not alone in this.
Well, since you're doing this, I want to follow along and check your progress. How do I?Coming here is a good start. I'll be running a novel-based journal so you can watch my sanity slowly slipping away as the month progresses. I'll also have the work itself up so you can watch in horror at what's being forcibly ejected. And there's the guestbook links to the right to send commentary my way. And of course there's always my profile on the NaNoWriMo site, in the "Authors & Novels" section. I can be found as "NaKaithus", of course.
