~Ravenous~

"The way to a man's heart is through his stomach..."
--Old Proverb

Well, I couldn’t help but draw it I’m still rather miffed about my ex b/f spreading lies about me and trying to terrorize me using the internet, so I might as well give into fantasies... and yup, the black haired gal‘ is a cartoony self-portrait!
It’s hard to make out on first sight, but that’s glasses hanging out of the stew, idea courtesy of one of my bestest best pals, Chris, who actually pointed me to "Ravenous" in the first place.
Note to all Ives fans - Don’t kill me! **hides under a table** I just thought the bear trap would look funny! **cries** I’m so doomed...

Silly Ives. Of course it substitutes. As every psychologist worth his salt can tell you, nothing soothes teenage girls as well as chocolate ice cream. Not only that, it heals depression, wounds (ok, emotional ones, but still!) , and it tastes most delightful! And it rejuvinates ya!
Again, that’s me on the pic... and my sister-wife-girl (we were officially married in the Zen Chatroom, thankyouverymuch! And, yes, we are nutty as a fruitcake, now that you mention it...), Jen, who loves to color her hair purple. Aren’t WE the treat of the week? (Pun intended) Uhm, anyhoo.

My pathetic try at an original Ravenous character. Only no RPGs would accept her cuz female chars are frowned upon in Ravenous RPGs, since they all wanna focus on the relationship between Boyd and Ives and stuff. Dyeh. Her name’s Shogecka Jumping-Lynx, an orphaned caucasian child who was brought up by Martha and George. Hence the native-like name and outfit.
They remembered the tales of old when the whites hadn’t come to the Pure Land yet and desecreated it with their greed and wars, back in that time, tales of the Weendigo where hardly ever heard. Now that the settlers continue to rape the earth they walk on, the two were inclined to believe the greed of the settlers fed Weendigo.
Shogecka, who also understood this as she grew up, decided to go on a VisionQuest, a traditional travel through the spirit realm, to see what she should do. She found the Weendigo spirit, and swore to keep it in the North to stop it from spreading all over the land.
The next night, Shogecka started on a long journey into the forests and was never heard from again. She keeps to the travel routes in the forests, warning occasional bypassers.
Her name, Jumping-Lynx, derives mainly of her agility, able to leap through the trees with ease, much like a cat, and of the legends told of the Lynx people (well, in some Native-American based freeform myth books I've been reading, and I liked the idea!). It’s said that they have keen sight because they stole Weendigo’s eyes (which are made of frost, so Weendigo merely regrew them), but their vision is as cold and bitter as his.
