"Achoo!"
"God bless you."
"Thank you."
Quatre poured the baking soda into the measuring cup
and poured that in the bowl.
"That's a lot of baking soda."
"It's what the recipe says!"
Trowa shrugged and turned back toward his computer.
"Crap."
"What's wrong?"
"Too much baking soda."
"How much is too much?"
"Half a cup instead of a tablespoon."
"Oh."
Quatre dumped the whole bowl (flour sugar, water, egg,
molasses, and soda) into the sink and turned the
disposal on. Trowa came up behind him and helped clean
up.
"Do we have enough for another batch?"
"I think."
"K."
Trowa sat back down and Quatre started adding things
to the newly washed bowl.
"Crap!"
"What?"
"Not enough molasses."
"Here, I'll hold it upside-down and let it drip down
while you get everything else."
"Ok. Thanks Trowa."
"No problem koi."
Quatre flashed Trowa a quick smile before continuing.
"Crap crap crap crap crap!!!"
"What is it?"
"Too much ginger and baking soda."
"How much is too much?"
"A tablespoon instead of a teaspoon."
"That's not to bad."
"But I can't get all the baking soda out, it's the
same color as the flour and sugar."
"Oh."
Quatre growled as he dumped the bowl yet again into
the sink. He grabbed all the ingredients and flung
them in the pantry, then stomped out of the kitchen.
He sat in his room, reading a book and trying to ease
his frustration. Half an hour later he heard a loud
beeping. He walked back into the kitchen and was met
with Trowa holding a pan with pot holders.
"Wha..." Quatre asked, staring at the pan. Trowa
smiled.
"I made a half batch. Not sure how it will taste,
but..."
Quatre threw his arms around Trowa (careful to avoid
the hot pan).
"You're so sweet, koi!"
Trowa put the pan down and kissed Quatre.
"Not as sweet as you." Quatre grabbed Trowa's neck and
pulled him closer, and as they slide to the floor, all
deserts forgotten, I'll close the curtains on the two
lovebirds, as I don't write lemons. ^_^
