July 4
I posted a video in the Music Exchange called Bootleg Firecracker, by Middle Kids. It's not about the holiday, but it has fireworks in the video. Later in the morning, Beth made Swedish pancakes with strawberries, blueberries, and whipped topping. Eventually I took a shower and got dressed; I'm wearing the "Stranger Things" t-shirt I bought last year. Then I put together the ingredients for a rhubarb dessert, put that in the oven, and started making vegan bean stew to take to the lake later.
At the lake there were a bunch of people and lots of food, as usual for the holiday. And eventually some of the people went home and some of the people who remained played one game on Jackbox. I had a Finder IPA. (I tried to find Sparkler beer but I couldn't, so I went with something else that as far as I recall I haven't had before.) Later, I went to a fireworks show with Matty, Jamie, Britta, and Lukas Lagasse. That was nice. Then we went back to the Treus' camp for awhile before Matty and Jamie drove me home, and that was pretty much it for the day. All in all, I'd say it was a successful Fourth of July.
