The Colbert Report, on Comedy Central

Well, we all know and love Stephen Colbert from The Daily Show. So, in 2005 he got his own show, following it. Like a continuation of the show where he's the host instead of Jon Stewart. Which kind of reminds me of the way one dream can segue into another and you're not entirely sure if it's really a new dream or the same one, but somehow it's different... But I digress. It is a different show. It's a pundit show, or a parody of a pundit show, the way The Daily Show is a parody of news talk shows or whatever. I've never been interested in pundit shows, really. But this is funny. So I need to try to watch it more often. But, you know... Stephen plays this satirical conservative version of himself, or whatever. I wish I knew what else to tell you. But it's all very ironic.... Oh, and "Report" is pronounced with a silent 't,' like "Colbert," so that it kind of sounds like "Rapport."
In 2008, Colbert did a Christmas special.
The Colbert Report ended in December 2014, and in 2015, Stephen will replace David Letterman as the host of Late Show. The Colbert Report was replaced by The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore.
