I've noticed that as you get into more advanced science classes, teachers and textbooks really don't like using English. For example, what does "Processing the proteins synthesized in the endoplasmic reticulum" mean? (For those of you who think that makes perfect sense and I'm just dumb...well...just play along like good boys and girls, k?) They could just be making words up and we wouldn't know the difference. They probably are making words up. So I figure, hey, why should they get all the fun? THEREFORE, I have created THIS nifty list of actual scientifical words that I attached my own definitions to:
Centriole: A type of virus that accentuates its endomiciles by mesticulating as a domagong, as shown in the diagram to the left.
Endoplasmic reticulum: A dumb Biology thing that no one really needs to know about because it’s dumb and we won’t ever use it, as it is totally pointless and dumb.
Golgi Apparatus: Something that uses its advanced blomdizers to metabolize metamorphadins into nutrients commonly known as hats.
Lysosome: A nice cell that likes sunsets and long walks on the beach.
Vesicle: A special type of candy that only biology majors get to have because they're special |
