** FUNNY POEMS FOR KIDS **
Talk, talk, talk... This kid never seems to run out of things to say. He has the gift of turning a simple sentence into a paragraph; a paragraph into a chapter, and a chapter into a full storybook adventure. He just talks on and on and on. Others can barely get in a word edgewise when he gets his vocal chords going
The author, R. Renée Bembry, was inspired to write this poem by her son who really did, and still continues to talk infinitely about any subject that captures his attention. He'll talk if he's right. He'll talk if he's wrong. He'll talk through the night. He'll talk through any song.
Oh.. Oh... Maybe he got it from his author mother... Let me be quiet so you can get to the poem... :}
Talk Talk Talk
by R. Renée Bembry
My sonny boy
Can talk, talk, talk
He talk, talk, talks my ear off
When we walk, walk, walk
At dinner time
When he sits down
He talks more than he eats
At bedtime
He keeps talking as he sleeps between his sheets
His mouth is like
An eight day clock
All that he hears
He has to mock
He'll talk in the bathroom
While he's brushing his teeth
He'll talk in the classroom
While making a Christmas wreath
He'll talk through the morning
He'll talk through the night
He'll talk when he can see you
And when you're out of his sight
He talks in the library
Even through story time
He talks in the store
When the cashier says,
"One more dime"
He talks at the theater
Or at any other show
He talks when I say,
"No talking,
Sonny Boy.
NO, NO, NO!"
I never met a kid
Who could talk so much
About this and that
And so and so
And such and such
Sometimes when he comes around
I cover up my ears
So he won't talk my head right off
And make it disappear!!
