Andrew Salter was a nice guy and was very caring. He was in my grade 11 math class and the next day not to see him there was very difficult to handle. His tragic death also brought back memories of earlier in the year when Pat died. I didn't know him all too well but from what I did know he was a very caring person and kind. When his families boat capsized he gave the only lifejacket on board to his brother, to save his life, sacrificing his own. Now that takes guts, to know you will die so someone else may enjoy the rest of their life. Andrew is truly a hero in my books.
