Patrick Dechamplain, also known
to his many friends as "Patman" was one of the most kindest, caring people
on the face of the planet. He didn't hate anyone, he had one of the biggest
hearts you could imagine, and room in it for everyone. In one way or another
he touched everyone he met. He would never think twice about helping someone
with a problem, he was there if you needed a shoulder to cry on, and he
was there as your friend.
Personally I think this tragedy
could have been avoided, it was just a moment in his life he though he
couldn't take. I only wish he would have waited another minute or two,
the outcome would have been different I'm sure and I wouldn't have to be
writing this article about a great friend everyone lost.
I believe the only reason I got
through Pat's death was through writing poetry and I had wonderful friends
to talk to. I still have not totally gotten over it or believe it for that
matter but in time I am sure I will.
At the end of the school year it
wasn't the same going on the path in the school back yard, that's where
we all hung out. We shared our memories of when Pat came to the path after
co-op all soaked. Asking what happened he said he wanted to know what it
was like to roll in a puddle so he did, we have and never will forget the
laughter he put in our lives. He made each day going to school worth it
just to see what he would come up with next. I could go on forever here,
but I will stop now. Pat I miss you buddy, I still rememebr what those
dice read that you had, lol. I love you.
