- The Lion King is hitting
IMAX theatres this Christmas! If you can't get your butt to LA or
NYC
or Toronto or London just go to your nearest IMAX theatre... but it won't be as
good
as Broadway! But it's still good!!! So I guess the DVD'll be out next October
and McDonalds
will have lion king toys by that time. And they'll be on banners and commercials
and I'll be
so happy I'll fly... like Zazu! (Ovan hyperventilates)

Matata is being made in Disney TV Animation Australia
it's good because the Australians actually *GET* the American sense of humor. So
no one
has to laboriously explain to the animators there how to properly time out a
scene in order

THE STORY...
Well, I've got to admit, I'm not obsessed with Lion King until I
saw it on Broadway.
If you given an assignment to transform a cartoon to Broadway, you'll say that
it's
impossible... but Julie Taymor did it! (you might remember her as the director
of Titus).
But before Broadway, I liked Lion King, but now I'm obsessed. Am
I crazy, maybe...
But somehow it changed my life a bit. The Broadway version reveals more from the
movie.
