The Good- This map is somewhat a "standard" Arena
map, but a realy good one. Wherever you are, you'll always
a weapon nearby, and usually an armor or two too. All of those
weapon have a use- there are tight corridors for the Double
Barreled Shotgun, a little balcony for the Lasergun, and the
Minigun is always useful. Ammunition is abundant, and after
acquiring a weapon finding the required type won't be too
hard, espacailly with the nasty backpack- you'll NEVER run
out of bullets. Ever.
The Bad- I found two troublesome parts in the map.
First of all, it doesn't have a name. xxiii DM:1 is an interesting
I.D. number, but one of the most important elements of the
map is its name, and personally I skipped downloading it from
Seriously! because it didn't have one- a great loss on my
side, but lack of publication on the artist's. Additionally,
the various doors don't open on time (unless you have to stick
to them) and when fleeing from a Rocket Launcher weilding
madmen (the "e" is intentional) you don't have time for that.
The Ugly(Camping Locations)- Quite a lot, but camping
is not required. This map is supposed to flow, and there are
tons of packs all over the place. If you realy want to, you
can camp in the pool below the Rocket Launcher or near the
Lasergun/Ammo Pack, but why wasting your time when you can
run around and frag, frag, FRAG?
The Pool- It's awesome. Did I ever mention I like
pools? Pools are great fun. All your pools are belong to us.
Nothing like submerging your head in cool water. With ammunition.
Tons of ammunition. Pools should have stocks of ammunition
ready. They're just perfect for that. Pools are GOOD for the
soul. They realy are. I'll stop wasting Grandpa's bandwidth
now.
