Welcome to the Chad the Mexican homepage. For those not familiar with the mysterious legend of Chad the Mexican, aka CTM, our story begins long ago, sometime last year. Most who knew him say he came from a faraway land called Mexico. No one knows for sure the origins of his arrival or even the reason; but what is known is that his visit to Mount Pleasant Michigan was short and mysterious. But during that short time, some rare photos were taken and are all that remain of the mystery behind Chad the Mexican.
February 24, 2003: Seen performing at Kaya with local singer slash guitarist Ron Thibault. Ron says, "Playing with Chad the Mexican is like a dream for me. No, literally, I once had this dream where I played guitar with a strange Mexican bongo player. We traveled around the world in a purple saucer and played private concerts for European royalty. The King of Belgium liked us so much he invited us back next year." .....riiiiight.
The duo soon adopted the clever moniker Ron and Chad the Mexican. When asked to describe their sound, one listener described it as "..melodious alt-rock with a pinch of Mexicalia." Another listener stated, "I didnt really like them."
After the performance, fans assemble to get in a rare picture with the legend himself.
These fans demanded another picture. Watch closely as Ron transforms into a taller, shadier man named Brutus.
