Biography of The Simpsons

The Simpsons started originally in 1987 as a two-minute clipping on The Tracy Ullman Show. This show introduced the idea that it was ok for adults to like a cartoon. People loved this idea, and so, come Christmas time, they made a full length episode. This was the episode where the get Santa's Little Helper. This was a big hit. A breakthrough for the entire cast and crew of The Simpsons. So Fox says to them, why not make a show out of it? And so they did. It was aired once a week for one full trial year. It did so well, that they put it on once a day and then twice a day. However, with all of these wonderful happenings, Matt needed more help. But with this help came artists who were complaining about the bad drawings that they were given to copy, so they changed the characters appearances along with their attitudes. Bart became even more of an "American Bad-Boy" if you'll pardon the expression. So here we have the start of an amazing show that brought out all sorts of cartoons geered towards adults as well as children. Now they are around their 300th episode, and just as popular as ever. They hold three positions in the Guiness Book of World Records for things such as "the longest running comedy" or "the most guest stars". They've been around for thirteen years, and hopefully, they will be around for many many more.
