Blinkey the Three-Eyed Goldfish
This is a short story that I was assigned to write by one of my teachers. The requirements were that it had to be at least 20 sentences and it had to deal with rejection or broken relationships. I, with the help of my dear friend Kris, came up with this. And yes, I did actually turn it in.
Blinky was a 3-eyed goldfish. Blinky was a good goldfish, except that he had 3 eyes. Blinky lived in a large fish tank. Now since Blinky had 3 eyes, he was rejected by many of his fellow goldfish. This made our friend Blinky very angry. Blinky was emotionally scarred by all the rejection. Blinky decided to get even. So one day, Blinky began formulating his plan of revenge. He decided that he would kill the goldfish that had made fun of him. He decided to kill them by drowning them. Now this would have worked wonderfully, except that these were goldfish. Blinky was forced to come up with another plan. He then came to the conclusion that he would burn them. Again, this plan would have been affective if it weren’t for the fact that fish live under water. Water extinguishes fire. So when Blinky tried to burn them up, he failed miserably. Then one day, Blinky came along Goldfish Baptist Church. He entered the castle-like establishment and became a Christian. He realized that revenge is bad. He then forgave the other goldfish and lived happily ever after.
