A truly beautiful day
Today was a beautiful day.
For the first time in ages, I went outside and was not pushed back by the cold winter chill, but was welcomed, invited, by the warmth of the sun. The sun drew me further out until I was underneath it, and in my heart I felt it smile at me. An echo of the bitter winter occassionally flew by, and it was a comforting thought, that next year, it would be back, for it had not altogether disappeared. I stood there, for a few moments, content under the sun's careful gaze, then smiled a shy smile and continued walking.
Today was a beautiful day.
