Lady Bird Shores

There once was a girl who lived by lady bird shores.

Every eve she walked among

the crimson waves as the sun set gold

The lady birds would fly and dance

and she would sit and look, entranced.

There once was a boy who lived by raven song wood

and every eve, he would walk among

the sil ver trees, as the moon rose silver

his eleven ears would hear the hush

and the waves in the distance

one day the girl went wandering

into the wood at night

and she stumbled upon the

eleven boy

and the moon shone twilight

by and by the two became friends

the lady bird shore, and

the raven song wood

until one day he came to love her

he had only one secret to tell

I can see you no longer, lady bird,

for I am not what I seem

I cannot lie until forever

but I will love you ever still

my sweet lady bird

I don't understand, raven song

I love you more than life

what is bothering you

please come into the light

my dear ravensong

I cannot love you, although I do, lady bird

and I will tell you why

I have never touched the sun

for I am death

and you will die

the girl was shocked speechless

at this tragic news

for her eleven lover, was death

her legs could hold no longer

she felt her body fall

he looked at her with pained eyes

as her body fell

he caught her with his silken wings

before she hit the ground

he took her to her home, and hoped she'd be alright

there once was a girl who lived by lady bird shores

Every eve she walked among

the crimson waves as the sun set gold

she never forgot her eleven boy

she would love him forever
