Physical Description:
Adrastae's hide is a bright red with yellow highlights and an underbelly that fades from orange to yellow. She has thin black stripes coming down from her topline. The stripes start at the base of her head and continue to the end of her tail, but she has no stripes on her muzzle. Adrastae's crest is big, bright, and beautiful being mixed with red, orange, and yellow feathers. Her eyes are yellow tinted with orange, and Adrastae's claws are a silvery grey. Characteristic of all yellow-snouts, she has bright yellow patches on either side of her muzzle. These start at her nostrils and come up to cover her eyes. Adrastae has a long jagged scar on the left side of her muzzle, part of which covers the corner of her eye. Adrastae is lean and lanky, not having much muscle mass but not having any fat on her body either. She is fast and agile due to her small size, however doesn't always have a lot of strength.
Personality:
Adrastae is active, curious, and intelligent. She has a tendency to be somewhat moody, but usually Adrastae likes the company of others and can even be silly and playful. She likes to be clever and witty and play games and tricks. She is somewhat irresponsible, but when neccessary Adrastae can be serious and on task. She has a natural dislike for red-snouts due to instinct and her parents' teachings. Just now blossoming into an adult (she's a late bloomer), Adrastae is looking for a mate.
History:
Adrastae was born in the southern deserts of what is now New Mexico. Her parents were the betas in a large yellow-snout clan. Adrastae was the second of three chicks in her parents' clutch but also grew up with several other chicks her age and some older siblings and cousins. Life in the desert was tough - Adrastae learned how to hunt efficiently as prey was scarce, survive on little water, and protect herself from rivals. Early on, Adrastae's parents taught her not to trust or even befriend red-snouts or deinonychs - a mating with either species could mean deformed or still born chicks, supposedly. When Adrastae was three years old she parted ways from her family. Her first-hatched sister from the same clutch accompanied her until she was courted by a young male. Adrastae continued to wander further north until at the beginning of her fourth year, she came into Dekru territory.
