What to say about Luckenbach?

Ok Feb 16th the three of us took off from San Antonio (where the girls were visiting me) and we headed for Luckenbach. I had this obsession with going out there because of a song and since the singer died earlier during the week the desire was even more there….made it a neat time to go out there. So we take off heading out on I10/US87 and we've got Rio going. Rio is Faith's little baby and she put together an interesting mix of music for us. We had everything from Charlie Daniel's "Devil went down to Georgia" to Blondie to Buddy Holly to Steppenwolf and finally down to "Dueling Banjo's" which so just fit the mood. We are going down the road and we get to Boerne where we are supposed to take this loop round to get to FM1376 which is where Luckenbach is. So the map says 542 so we figure "road name" when in reality it was exit number…so after two turn arounds we make it to the right road. Boerne is pretty cool. Little German town with a gazebo in it and all these nifty little shops….and it has real saloons, with a bunch of bikes out front. So we keep going and we get to our turn off for 1376 and we turn…dark backwoods road in Texas….always interesting for travel. We go on down the road and go through the countryside. Now we are going down the road and we see all these lights off to the side of the road and we are like "What the hell" so we turn to see what's up and it's got signs saying Luckenbach so we are like cool….so this other car was turning and we followed it trying to figure out how to get back into Luckenbach. We get back there and there is a field full of cars and a party going on. We decide it looks like fun so we park the car and get out and walk towards the party. Ok the town consists of a Dance hall a beerjoint and a couple odd buildings. There were like 6 total or something like that. So we are walking looking and this guy calls to us and walks over. He starts asking where we are from and stuff and then his two friends come over. So we talk to them a minute and then they walk off and we continue on. We walk all around to see what's here and in the end we end up sitting at the fire pit. The firepit is a huge metal pit raised up off the ground and has a metal ring going around it for your feet to keep warm. The seats were big log stumps to sit on. We got over there and found seats and sat talking to each other for a minute. Then Dawinda (yes that's her name) starts telling a story about being "Drunk in pub-liC" in New York City (the rest of the people around the fire pit exclaimed, "NEW YORK CITY?!?!?") . She was trying to get to tell us how she has a kid named tatter tot….I'm still not sure how she got a kid named tatter tot. But the story itself was kinda funny. So we are sitting there on our logs and this guy Billy walked up. He was talking with the people sitting next to us…this guy was atleast in his 50-60's and he mistook me for someone else…came over put his arm around my back and on my waist and started talking to me. He didn't even realize I wasn't her until he saw Dianna. It was kinda embarrassing but rather funny. Then after the fire had kinda cleared out some we started talking with people around us and we started talking with this woman Kim and her…other half….Carl. (not sure husband, boyfriend, or fuck buddy) so we all decided, with much prodding from her, to sneak into the dance thing. So we go…and we are there and Kim is trying to get us to go ask guys to dance….we didn't but this guy came and asked me to….he was rather drunk….not TOO bad but…oh well. And then Faith left us and went out to the fire and Kim and Carl went and got these two guys to come talk to Dianna and me and then they left us there. So we talked…but they were friends and more interested in talking to each other than us, so we left went and found faith and then headed back to San Antonio.
