Creation/People Myth
Nicole Berra, Carolyn Jackson, Katie Fortune

In the beginning the Goddess of the Window was petting her llama and eating her favorite sandwich (bologna on pumpernickel) while sitting by her window. Looking out her window into the neighborhood of Chaos (it’s where all the Gods and Goddesses live), an airborne sphere of pure granite hurtled toward her. Closer and closer it drew until it smacked her in the forehead.

After gaining consciousness she stumbled toward the window to see the origin of the soaring sphere. She noticed a line of omniscient shrubberies had magically appeared outside her window. She decided the shrubberies needed to be punished for chucking the rock at her. In order to make the shrubberies look ridiculous and feel embarrassed; she cut them in decorative shapes.

The Goddess then withdrew all the knowledge that the shrubberies possessed and decided to bestow the knowledge upon the rock, which had smacked her in the head. This created what is now known as Earth. Out of the crumbs of the rock she created the keepers of the knowledge, which are now known as humans. The shrubs sensed the knowledge coming from the rock and sent their topiary shavings to get it back. Thus, shrubs came upon Earth.

The shrubs kept devouring the knowledge from the Earth through the window; diminishing the intellect of her precious humans. Therefore the Goddess decided to partially close the window so as to limit the amount of knowledge the shrubs could obtain from the Earth. She left the window open a little bit so that the shrubs could stay alive and look charming outside her house. Later that year she won the contest for the most attractive garden against the vile goddess that lived next door. She also wanted the shrubs to stay alive to feed her llama. The llama is considered the sacred and pure animal of the Topiests because it is the Goddess’s pet.

To this day, the Topiests, the Goddess and the shrubberies live in complacent harmony.
