She couldn’t believe her eyes! On the doorstep were two big boxes, full to the brim. She didn’t know what to do.

“What is it?” The girl asked herself as she looked at the mysterious boxes. One was dark brown, old and bent; the other was light brown with a musty smell coming from it. She started to open the dark brown one, it was damp because it had been raining outside. As she opened it, the box fell to little pieces nothing was in it except a glass book. It had gold pages and small writing.

As she looked carefully at the book, a gust of wind went though the house, the girl just thought it was the wind because she had left the door open. She started to read. The book was about black magic. She kept reading until she got to a page titled ‘The Undead’.

As she read, suddenly, everything around her went black. All she could see was the light reflecting off the glass book. Her heart started beating faster and faster because she realised that something was beside her; breathing.

She began to panic! She needed to run but her legs were not responding so she tried to hide, but suddenly something grabbed her ankle from beside her. She pulled and pulled but she knew that this was the end.

“Who are you?” She screamed but no one replied. Then she saw the being’s face. It had no skin; only bones. If you looked into its eyes, all you could see was darkness; eyes that would darken your day. It had hair that was short, brown and matted.

She was panicking less now; she was calmer. She stared into its dark red eyes. “What do you want from me?” She shouted, as it looked at her. She could tell that it was evil, pure evil. It loosened its grasp on her and she started to run but it just smiled.

Suddenly, a cage came smashing down over her! Eyes, every where eyes, staring at her, creatures laughing at her. Things started to scream at her, blood wrenching screams she called it but all she could do now was stay there waiting for someone to free her. But some how, she knew no one would…
