NEWS
- A new sequence will be in
Lion King DVD... but it wasn't in the IMAX version...
must be crappily animated so I hope to see a selection of Original version and
Added scene version on the DVD like Beauty and the Beast.
- The Lion King 1 1/2: Hakuna
Matata is being made in Disney TV Animation Australia
it's good because the Australians actually *GET* the American sense of humor. So
no one
has to laboriously explain to the animators there how to properly time out a
scene in order
to get a laugh back stateside.
- REALLY SAD NEWS: They took
off "The Legend of Lion King" from Walt Disney World...
THE OPTIMISTIC SIDE: When I'm there in Florida I can just stay in Animal
Kingdom!
- TLK 1 1/2 will be in theatres instead of video and DVD, YAY!!!
THE STORY...
Well, I've got to admit, I'm not obsessed with Lion King until I
saw it on Broadway.
If you given an assignment to transform a cartoon to Broadway, you'll say that
it's
impossible... but Julie Taymor did it! (you might remember her as the director
of Titus).
But before Broadway, I liked Lion King, but now I'm obsessed. Am
I crazy, maybe...
But somehow it changed my life a bit. The Broadway version reveals more from the
movie.
