This here will be updated regularly with what is going on with the band. It's kind of like the "News" section but from now on news will be proper News i.e of gigs etc and this here will be like a diary of the current events of Scallywag for you to keep up to date with what's going on and it starts from whenever i can be bothered thank you bye

Sunday 15th September 2002 - Hi, the gig went really well. We thought we played well and certainly alot better than what we played in Kirky back in May for anyone that was at both gigs, we hope you agree. So where do we go from there. Well we will probably have a short break from practising just now and look to get a few more gigs arranged before the year is over. We have a few being planned just now, check "Gigs" for more information on that. Well we have 10 songs to our name and like them so we think it would be a good idea to record them and make an EP, Which will also need a name but that doesn't need thought about just now. We'll keep you up to date on how that progresses aswell as gigs. Once again thanx to everyone that came and supported us on Friday and i hope uz had a good time and i also hope the people outside were outside coz it was too hot and not cause we sucked lol. If you want to do a review feel free to email it to us and we will happily stick it on the site no matter what it says as long as it is a proper review. Thats all for just now thanks everyone for your support and keep checking back for fresh Scallywag news cheerio - Gary

Thursday 5th September 2002 - Hi, Sorry for the lack of updates recently but there hasn't really been anything to say. The tickets for the Friday 13th gig are selling well but there is still plenty left and only a week left for you to get your hands. If you are unable to get a ticket before the gig you can get 1 at the door seeing that they haven't sold out by then. Just incase they are to sell out you can always make a special request for a ticket to be left behind for you but you must show up or i'll cry :'-( Anyway to do that just email us, ask me on MSN or leave a msg on our guestbook or message board. Everything else to do with the gig seems to be working. We need security though which kind of sucks as it will end up costing the same price as the hall. Our practising is coming along great and we now have a full set list for the gig lasting 45 minutes. We are still considering to squeeze another song in as just now we have 10 songs, 9 of our own and 1 cover which you may well know which cover that is. We have a tight schedule to work to on Friday night which i will post up later this week and may even include our set list so that you will know what you are listening to. The other bands seem prepared and i think its gona be a great night. We have the Practise Pad booked for Thursday the 12th just to get a run through of our songs making sure they are on tip top form for us to perform them to youz the following night. It's looking doubtful we will have a demo on sale that night which means you will have to wait til either next gig or to when we are ready and have the funs to record a proper EP which will be so cool and I cant wait til we get to do that. Thats all i have to say for the moment. Check back this week and next for more updates on the gig and we hope to see uz all there thank you and good bye - Gary

Saturday 17th August 2002 - Hey, Tickets are going on sale today so try and get hold of them from any of the bands playing - Urban Igloo, Skunk Marozius, Sorreal and Scallywag and also Brian Cunningham will have some to sell aswell to anyone who knows him. We were at the Pad on Wednesday there working on the new songs and it had to be the quickest and best practise session we have had in a long time so hopefully we will keep that up for the gig. The new songs are sounding good we think and hopefully yous will still enjoy our older ones and we will play them better than what you have heard on our MP3's. Just to say they are bad quality and may not sound that great anyway but it was just an example of what our songs sound like and not how well we can play (coz doesn't sound like we can play that well to some people does it?) Anyway we will keep practising hard for the next few weeks leading up to the gig although next we are away to Leeds Festival which is going to be amazing, I can't wait. Thats all so try get hold of a ticket for the "FRIDAY THE 13TH GIG!!!!!" at Bishopbriggs War Memorial Hall priced £3 Doors open at 7:00pm thats all from me (Gary) cyas all later bye

Friday 9th August 2002 - Hey Marko here, on Tuesday we went to the pad and almost got our new song "Punk Wannabe" finished, it just needs some touching up. The other new song "Why is the Sky Blue?" is pretty much complete, and we like it, hopefully you will :-). Gary wrote really good lyrics for a song the other day so hopefully we can deliver the music to make it great! In addition to Dammit, we are planning to play Pathetic by Blink and The Bitch Song by Bowling For Soup. Personally I can't wait for the gig, and just to let people know the lineup isn't finalised yet as there has been some disagreement over a band, between me and Gary, but this should be sorted out soon. Ok dokie, I've said all I can really think of, hope to c ya at the gig!

Monday 4th August 2002: I think this is a good time to start this new section in which you can keep up to date on the lives of Scallywag, Firstly we had our 1st practise at Maryhill Practise Pad since we all went on holiday at the beginning of the summer and we were still able to play all our songs so the break was fine. Now we are arranging 2 gigs of our own which you can see at our gigs section, The 1st one is Friday the 13th September at Bishopbriggs Memorial Hall, We cannot wait for that as we will be on last and its gonna be a great night. Our set is gonna be much longer than the one at our last gig so me and Mark are busy working away on new material to play that night plus maybe adding in a couple of covers so once we have new songs done we will play them to Andy at the Pad and Andy will add in some lovely drum beats to them. After that we will keep practising them and hopefully they will be perfect for this gig. Tuesday (tomorrow) will be our next trip to the Pad so hopefully we will have a good few new songs done for Andy to learn. Tickets for the gig will be on sale soonish i hope and we hope to see everyone there thanx for checking out this new section, I hope to update it quite alot remember to check out "News", "Gigs" and please sign our guestbook or leave some silly messages in our Message Board thats all for now thank you bye
