Boulder- A bastion of upscale fitness buffs? A hotbed of politically progressive intellecutals? A stronghold of New Age tofu munchers, the last remnants of 1960s hippiedom? Perhaps, but it's neither possible nor fair to classify Boulder or Boulderites. The only generalization one can safely make is that Boulder is diverse and tolerant. It's been said that Boulder is a premier place for outdoor sports, but there's much more to this city than great skiing, hiking, mountain biking, and river running. Depending on when you come, you may catch part of the Colorado Music Festival, Shakespeare Festival, or the bizarre Kinetic Conveyance Challenge. Use caution! Boulder is said to be under the curse of Chief Niwot- Anyone who sets eyes on the area will be unable to leave.
