Video of Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park Construction

During part of 1994, all of 1995 and part of 1996, construction was done on an area north of the Tennessee State Capitol in Nashville to create the Tennessee Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park in celebration of the State's 200th year of statehood. The park was opened to visitors on June 1, 1996.

Starting early in the construction of the mall and park, VHS recording covering a period of approximately twenty-seven month was done regularly from an upper floor of a building in the area. Between three and and four hours of taping, maybe more, was done. Some of the recordings have been posted on this site for viewing by visitors. Editing of all the recordings may be done in the future to produce a DVD which will represent most of the period of the park's construction.
