Poetry of Vince Gullaci

ANGST

Words

to strip the paint

of the walls

In anger

I have come to this

Life amongst ruins

And old age

No comfort at all.

MY WIFE

I find

comfort there

in the warmth

of her back

in the soft

inner glow

of her dreams

as she peacefully

sleeps.

A LOVELORNE STATE

Another dream

to add

to the growing pile

gathering dust

the golden sunflowers

in all

their aching for the sun

mown to waste.

BROKEN

Seeps up

a capillary action

bodes

a sense of failure

that whatever

I have

will break.

THE STATE OF PLAY

A smattering

of half truths

and prejudices

allays

whatever decency

was left.
