Poetry of Vince Gullaci Pt.3

SNOWFLAKE

Mad as snow
falling in hell
a flake
to whet the maw
of death.

THE BARROW BOY

The barrow boy
cut pumpkin to size
sold pumpkin, potatoes and onions
nursed his hands
from the winter cold
dreamt his dreams
and refused to be put
in a slot.

IMPALED

Impaled by hubris
hung out to dry
on the wall
of happiness
a comic strip
drawn by delusion
it's one constant
instant gratification.

THE LIFE POLICE

Some would love being
the life police
choosing
who would live
or die.
