Poetry of Vince Gullaci Pt.4

UTOPIA

A dirty word
Utopia
vaporized
in the icy glare
of the Trillionaire.

COURAGE

I mask inadequacy
with bravado
until the chickens
come home to roost
and my heart
pea sized
for all the world to see
my machismo nonsense.

SLIPPED FROM MY GRASP

Tomorrow
is yesterday already
I'm struggling
with how easy
life slipped
from my grasp.

MADNESS MOST DEFINED

If I didn't have
this madness
I wouldn't have this poem
so there's something
to be thankful for
being crazy.
