Large Motor Activity:
"Rollin In Dough" (Mailbox p43) Let the kids roll the dough!

Coloring Activity:
Color Cookie Jars (pattern - Mailbox p39)Laminate it into a snack time placemat for this week.

Snack:
Cookie Crisp Cereal and Milk
"Please Share, Thank You!" (Mailbox p38)
For younger children just have them count cookies to their own jar or place cookies on their jar
    and have them count them.

Tuesday


Circle Time:
Read: If You Give A Mouse A Cookie by Laura Joffe Numeroff using Manipulatives: "One
    Thing Leads To Another" (Mailbox p40)
Poem: "Cookie Poem" (Mailbox p42)
Song: Who Stole the Cookies From the Cookie Jar?

Group Activity:
Bake Chocolate Chip Cookies (recipe idea at the end of this page)

Coloring Activity:
Color "A Cookie For You, A Cookie For Me" labels (copy from Mailbox p39)

Snack Time:
Fresh Baked Cookies and Milk
Read: The Doorbell Rang by Pat Hutchins

Take Home:
"A Cookie For You And A Cookie For Me" (Mailbox p37)
Personalize the cookie bags for each child and their family.

Art Activity:
Paint light brown paint on circles. Add dark brown chocolate chips!

Vanilla Wafers & Milk

Use favorite activity, /manipulatives or act out.

Playdough
"Pretend Cookies" (Mailbox p 37)

Art Activity:
Mouse Puppet
Use face from "The Fun Has Just Begun" (Mailbox pg 41).
Make the face small enough to put on a popsicle stick and have the children color them.

Snack:
Wafer Cremes & Milk

Recipe:

Chocolate Chip Cookies

1 cup butter or margarine
1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups all purpose flour
3/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Cream butter with electric mixer. Add sugar and blend
until smooth. Add eggs and vanilla. Mixing well. In

separate bowl, combine dry ingredients. Add to
creamed mixture and blend together. Drop by
teaspoonful onto
greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350oF for 10-15 minutes
or until lightly browned.
