Stage 1
In the first six months, the little skater mostly lies around on the ice.

Stage 2
After about six months the little skater learns to sit up on the ice by himself.

Stage 3
At the nine month mark the little skater is crawling around on the ice.

Stage 4
After about one year, the little skater learns to walk on the ice.

Stage 5
And in almost no time at all after that, the little skater is doing double axels.

Count me among the skating developmentally challenged. I have yet to reach the fourth stage.
