Home Away From Home!

Hello, and welcome to my homepage. I hope your visit here will give you some insight into who and what I am about.

My name is Gina, and I live in Toronto, Ontario Canada.

As of 2006 I am 39 years old. I’m single, of Italian background (as if the name Gina and the pic don’t pretty much give it away). I have no kids, but I do have a gorgeous West Highland White Terrier (or terror depending on the day), named MacLeod.

I love to travel, and I also enjoy photography. Hopefully what this will mean is that in the future on this page, I will have some pics of the places I’ve visited and some of the things I’ve seen.

In my 39 years I’ve been fortunate to visit many wonderful places. Dominican Republic, Venezuela, Florida, Nashville, New York, Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary, Regina, Lipton, Winnipeg, Acapulco, Puerto Vallerta, Italy, France, Spain, and a few places in the UK, although my most favourite place on earth would have to be Scotland. I also enjoyed my visit to my parent’s homeland of Italy. The country itself is filled with a history and a beauty unparalleled here in North America (at least in my eyes this is true).

I also should say I am an absolute romantic at heart. I think this is one of the main reasons I fell in love with the UK. I’ve never seen a real castle before, although I’ve been reading about them in nearly every romance novel I read. While standing in front of Warwick Castle, I could VERY easily picture my Knight in Shining Armor coming to my rescue on his trusty steed of white, as I wave to him from my tower above.

Bath was also one of the more picturesque cities I was lucky enough to go visit. I highly recommend both of those if you ever visit England.

As for Scotland…I absolutely fell in love with Scotland, both the country and the people (one in particular *s*). If you don’t know me too well…I’ll tell you straight off, voices, especially voices with accents I totally die for!! And the Scottish accent right now, is my undisputed favourite. If you get to meet any of my friends, you can ask them if this is true!! Both Minja and Nicole (my fellow travelers in the UK) can attest to watching me drool as I listened to the bonny front desk clerk, at The Sandyford Inn in Glasgow, Scotland in October 2000.

Those are my travels thus far in life. I hope to continue this throughout the rest of my life. Some of the places on my list to visit are; Australia, Sweden, Norway, Germany, (actually hope to see all of Europe one day), Alaska (in the summer).

Over the years, I've chatted in many a different chat room and made Many new friends, here is a list of just a few of the special ones that have touched my life, as well as my closest real time friends.
