This trick is hard to learn, but before you even attempt this trick you should have your Royales down. First start out with a royale, then start to lift your lead foot up a little bit, not to much at first because you might fall. After a while start lifting it up farther until you can lift it off the rail/curb/ledge every time. Then start trying to grab it, when you can do this you are pretty much doing a poser move, but that's ok because you're just learning it. When you feel confident with your poser backslide, you are ready to try a real backslide, to do this you HAVE to land in boned position. Then when you jump you land with your back foot in royale position (keep it locked or you will probably fall) and grab your lead foot-this is not only for style, but for balance.
