A frontside is the most basic grind there is, and the easiest. If you are a beginner(as you must be if you are looking at a frontside) you should be able to stall easy, it doesn't matter that much if you havn't tried. First you must remember to keep your feet together and when you jump make sure that both feet leave the ground and land on the pole at the same time. To start, approach the rail so you are parallel to it, then when you are close to itjump and turn 90* so that your skates are facing in towards the bar. You can practice this on just about anything, I first used a bike rack.
