To learn a topside soul, you must first learn a farside soul. To farside you approach the rail from the opposite side you grind on, then when you are close enough, jump the rail and soul on the far side(hence the name farside soul)make sure to lock in first. Now you can attempt a topside soul. Just do the same thing and 180 off.
