 10 EASY STEPS TO TRANSLOAD TO YOUR OWN DIRECTORY.


If you noticed, I usually don't use any 2 backgrounds the same, in the same site..  I love backgrounds and sets.  I think they really class up a page.   They are a lot easier to get than you think.  The first thing you do is put Star Blvd and Ronnies Webtv Quick Find or Web TV Utility on an F-key.  Ok now that you have that done if you have a problem setting your F-keys me.

Now, go to Sta r Blvd and learn how to fill out the References at Star Blvd.  Your Host Site should have the answers to the Required questions.  I know Angelfire but, I don't know the rest of them.   FAQ at Star Blvd.  It will answer 99.9% of your questions.  I don't know many answers I just know how to transload.  It also has the answers to the new upgrade with the video and TV things we just got not to long ago.  Fill in the (R) required information boxes.  Ok now that you have the:

ANGELFIRE

Target FTP Server.....ftp.angelfire.com
Target Account Name......anonymous
Target Account Password......john@dow.net


GEOCITIES/TRIPOD

Target Account Server.......ftp.geocities/tripod.com
Target Account Name.......your user name at geocities/tripod
Target Account Password.........your password at geocities/tripod
automatically goes into main directory

filled in scroll down to Save Cookies and press on it (it will appear that nothing happened but, it will save all the information you just put in).  This is a real helpful part of this operation.  Just make sure you type it in correctly the first time.  I probably typed it in 50 times before I realized what the "save cookies" was for.  And probably 25 of them I made a mistake somewhere along the line.  VERY FRUSTRATING.
If anyone is willing to tell me the key words for other sites, I will gladdly list them.

Ok, Now go out and find that special image or graphic that you just have to have.  If you can't get it to come up on a black screen, this is when Web TV Utility...or...Ronnie's Webtv Quick Find come into use.  Once you have found that special image.  Go DIRECTLY from that page to one of the UTILITIES pages.  Webtver's can't open ZIP FILES.


Either site is good, at WEB TV UTILITY:   Use DR. HTML BUTTON .

at RONNIES WEBTV QUICK FIND: Use IMAGE URL'S.  Check the URL to make sure you brought your page with you (the url will appear in the little type written box).  Click on the button, then it will take you to "imagiware" and all of the graphics or images on that page will appear written in the "IMAGE ANALYSIS" in text form.  It will give you all the information about each image on the page  "height...width....size in bytes" and so on and so forth.  Just click on the "NAME" of the image name until you find the ones you want to transload.  This site (Imagiware will let you use this site 4 times per session) I guess a session is when you bring in a new page.  And actually transload from it.  

Now once you have the image you want up on a black screen.  Go directly to STAR BLVD click cursor down to where you see   LAST PAGE VISITED and make sure it is the Url and the correct jpg or gif that you want.  There is a little TEARDROP (inbetween first and second box) make sure you click on it.  If you don't you will keep getting the same image of the last transload transaction!!!   Once you have clicked on the teardrop and have all of the REQUIRED (R) blanks filled in, go down to transload and hit the button.  From there it will take you to the last page automatically.  Then just read the little bit of Instructions on that page and you are done once you hit the "ZAP".

After you hit the "ZAP" button at Star Blvd just hit the back until you are back to (Imagiware) and then start all over again.  

I know at Angelfire you have probably 18 to 20 minutes that they will keep your image in their upload file.  Then go to your HOST SITE EDIT PAGE and start uploading.




STEP BY STEP LIST.


STEP 1;-)   GO FIND THE IMAGE YOU WANT


STEP 2:-)   HIT F-KEY YOU HAVE FOR UTILITY (ie..Ronnies or Webtv Utility)


STEP 3;-)   CLICK ON DR. HTML OR IMAGE URL'S


STEP 4:-)   FIND IMAGE YOU WANT AND CLICK ON IT THEN IT WILL COME UP ON A BLACK SCREEN


STEP 5;-)   HIT F-KEY YOU HAVE ASSIGNED TO STAR BLVD


STEP 6:-)   REMEMBER TO HIT THE "TEARDROP" (all other blanks should already be filled in)


STEP 7;-)   HIT "TRANSLOAD" BUTTON (star blvd does the rest) until the final page


STEP 8:-)   HIT THE "RELOAD" BUTTON UNTIL IT TAKES YOU DOWN TO THE BOTTOM OF THE PAGE


STEP 9;-)   HIT THE"ZAP" BUTTON


STEP 10:-)   GO TO YOUR HOST SITE (EDIT PAGE) AND START UPLOADING

To upload at Angelfire...just type the name of the image.gif   .jpg or what ever in the "TEXT-ENTRY FIELD"  then go down and hit the "activate file" key.  No need to use the "upload your files using FTP".  

If you want to check out your image before you upload it just click on the "UPLOAD YOUR FILES USING FTP" then it will take you to the second page where you click on "Netscape (2.0 & above) Users Only: Upload your files now.  Then it will take you to the upload files.  Just scroll down to where you see the name of your image and click on it.  It will then come up on a black screen.  If it is the image you want, go back and upload to your directory.

JUST ONE MORE THING.  MOST OF THESE SITES WITH THE SETS, HAVE THEIR OWN LOGOS THAT THEY WOULD LIKE YOU TO PLACE ON YOUR PAGE WITH A REFERENCE TO THEIR PAGE.  GIVE THEM CREDIT FOR THE FREE BEAUTIFUL GRAPHICS AND IMAGES THEY HAVE MADE AVAILABLE TO USE.  THEY HAVE EVERTHING RIGHT ON THEIR PAGES TO DO THIS.

THEY ALSO DON'T WANT TO SEE THEIR IMAGES IN SOMEONE ELSES COLLECTION OF FREE GRAPHICS. SO, LET'S JUST BE GRACIOUS AND JUST USE THEM ON OUR PERSONAL HOMEPAGES.   Thanks.

One more thing, if you come in from places like Zy-Graphics, or VRL or some tool page like that you will probably want to rename your image.
