People you have heard of in Toronto:
Morven: The former Prince of Toronto was one of the
oldest kindred in the area. He
was Ventrue, and to your knowledge a quiet ruler.
Monica Freewater: The current Prince of Toronto. She
is a Toreador, and is accepted to be quite formidable.
She is widely acknowledged to discriminate against
Malkavians.
Lewis Dell: Freewater's predecessor, and tied closely
to Morven. He was also Ventrue.
He went insane, and disappeared. No one knows if he's
even alive anymore.
Jason Ellison: A harpy, Toreador and murderer of
Malkavian reputations.
Jack Remington: Another Harpy, Ventrue. More
sophisticated and less brutal than
Ellison, but no less forgiving.
Reeve Saunders: Seneschal, Nosferatu. Creepy.
Sherman Deston: Anarch leader who is out to get the
Camarilla.
Reverend Samuel P. Fennington: Brujah Primogen
Alisdair Kearney: Sherriff, Gangrel.
Uriel: Scourge. You think Brujah, but people don't
get close enough to make sure.
People you know (or knew) in Toronto:
Sydney Lanouette: Malkavian. A bookseller in Downtown Toronto Sydney catches most of the rumors that fly around Toronto. He’s pretty quiet, and considered harmless by just about everyone. He desperately wants to regain a "normal" life. He is rumored to have been in Rochester when it was burned, but he won’t talk about it.
Curly Will: Malkavian, and childe to Murray O'Shea. Will’s job is to inform the other Malkavians of Toronto about what happened in primogen council meetings. He tends to spend his unlife wandering around the city and snooping or breaking into everything he possibly can. This has not endeared him to the prince.
Murray O'Shea: Malkavian Primogen. O'Shea was a burly irishman, and for a long time the most powerful Malkavian in Toronto (although NOT the most powerful kindred.) He had a know-it-all attitude, and needed to inform everybody of what they didn't know at all costs. He had to save them from what they couldn't perceive.
Tanner: Caitiff. Tanner is a thin blooded Caitiff, embraced by a Nosferatu. The Nosferatu curse never took hold on Tanner, and he was abandoned to fend for himself. The scourge desperately wants to exterminate him, but he has forged a grudging alliance with the Malkavian and Nosferatu clans. He lives in the sewer drainage ditches south of Toronto by the shores of lake Ontario.
Stuff you've heard of
Rochester: You were able to feel a psychic shockwave from this event. Interpret this as you like, but it was felt much more keenly by Malkavians than any other clan. For several weeks the whole of the kindred community was petrified that Ghenna had come, and everyone was going to die, but fortunately things settled down. The Camarilla still hasn’t been able to repair the breach in the Masquerade, however and everyone tends to avoid the subject with vehemence. The Malkavians or the Sabbat are generally blamed for the chaos. The Gangrel justicar was sent in to investigate, and returned unwilling to speak of the events. The rumors and the news broadcasts detail the events as a string of strange events such as strings of arson, rioting, outbreaks of mass hysteria, massive burglaries of libraries and armories and it culminated in the downtown either (depending on the source you believe) being set on fire by rioters or spontaneously erupting into fire. Mortal newscasts end here, and all footage of events after this have mysteriously disappeared. Kindred rumors continue saying that a massive battle was waged between the Justicar and an unidentified party. The Sabbat is the favored party to be blamed. The battle culminated in a massive eruption of fire that was quelled by a downpour of blood. Other rumors include a large "army" of vehicles accompanied the fighting, a fragment of the true book of Nod was involved in the fighting, the Tremere had ritually prepared Rochester for the fight two years ago and activated their ritual during the battle, and the battle involved several millennia-old icconu that disappeared right after the fighting. The rumors continue on every night.
