Adventure 26: The Elven City

The party menmbers find themselves standing in Fathan’s chambers, in the heart of the elven nation. Fathan stands bolt upright, smacks his head on a low hanging bar, and knocks himself out. Moments later he stands up, but the party quickly realizes that Priss has become trapped within his body.
Taking stock of their situation the group realizes that they are in the middle of the wizards’ chambers, and that they have no guide since Veblen is unconscious. Priss does some minor alterations to both Veblen and Luthien (who have drow blood pumping through their veins) and the party sets out to find somebody who can help them.
The group heads out of the living chambers and to a balcony where they find a floating disk that they see other elves use much like an elevator. They take it to the ground level and are immediately found by an old man and a young wizard, both of whom seem to recognize Fathan. The old man takes them to rest and bath, and then to the chambers of the king, where Tiszian steps out and greets the party. If Fathan were conscious it is quite likely at this point he would have passed out since the last time Tiszian was thought to have been seen she was minus her skin.
A great feast is held to honor Fathan for safely bringing back the king’s youngest daughter. There is singing, dancing, and some special Acoustic music, and the party finds themselves stuffed. The king and several others withdraw when an orcish prisoner is brought in.
The party follows and they tell the king what they know of Tar-Nok, the orcs, and what is happening in Bane, as well as the rest of the lands.
The elven king is not pleased when he hears of Darkstorm’s apparent betrayal of Bane, but he decides that the elven army shall remove the orcs and any others who do not belong in the Elven Forest. He also reveals that Tar-nok is the daughter of his wife, who was raped while being held as an orcish prisoner (which would in fact make her elven royalty, at least in part). For this reason he does not trust her. The party then retires for the evening.
Luthien retires with Tiszian in hopes of having an evening of fun, which instead turns deadly. As he settles in, Luthien is suddenly surrounded by little glowing lights which burn him. Tiszian then stabs herself and starts to ooze some sort of goo, which exits the room. Luthien races after her/it into the hallway, only to find a small child who yells for the guards.
The guards put the group in chains and are about to take them away when an ominous shadow appears from above. There is the smashing of crystalline glass and the party and the elven city soon find them under attack by the sky-ship they had encountered near Willowbrook.
A horrible battle ensues with the dark angel challenging Veblen to a duel. She ends up maiming him and most of the party, but in the end Luthien along with Priss and Miranda manage to ultimately take her down. However the ship is still overhead, and most everybody else is at death’s door or barely conscious.
