Alexander Ovechkin, 2012-13 Richard Trophy Winners
The Rocket Richard Trophy was introduced into the NHL after the 1998-99 season, and goes to the player who has amassed the most goals at season's end. It was dedicated in honour of the first player to score 50 goals in 50 games, Maurice "Rocket" Richard.
Ironically, the first winner of the award, Teemu Selanne, scored only 47 goals to win the award.
