Could it be? It's a free gift, ours for the taking? Yes! It's true. You see, because we have sinned, we can in no way enter heaven on our own merit. However, God has made a way for us to spend eternity with Him. He loves us so much that He was willing to die to pay the wages for our sin, and to wash us clean. It is up to us to realize this for ourselves, to accept it as truth. The Bible says,
Here's how to receive the gift that God is holding out to you:
There are no requirements to having a personal walk with God. Simply
believe that he paid the price for our sins and confess them,
thus receiving his forgiveness.
It's like someone giving you a gift--you wouldn't try to pay them for
it, or try to pay for it by doing good deeds. No, it wouldn't truly be
a gift then. Instead, you take it, and thank them, and accept it for what
it is--a gift!
If you accept this free gift, you become a part of the family of God. He will never leave you, no matter what you do, and He will call you His son or daughter. You will be heirs of His throne and live with him for eternity! How exciting! All of the problems that you have in your life right now will be seen in a new light. God will help you to see things clearly. Your life will be enriched greatly because you will now have him walking with you every step of the way!
Tell Him that you're searching. Ask Him to show you the way, and He is faithful--He will show you. I've told you the truth about knowing God, and I hope you will come to understand this wonderful truth: the one that our Creator loves us, and has made a way for us to know the path to Heaven. You will no longer have to worry that you are doing the right thing, or if you are doing enough. God has already done it all.
And now, I'll leave you with two questions: Have you come to the place
in your life where you know for certain that you will go to heaven
when you die? and...
If you were to die today
and stand before the gates of heaven, if God were to ask you 'why
should I let you into my heaven?', what would you say?
