Roleplaying Tips

This is where you'll find what makes a quality roleplay!!

Longer roleplays are not necessarily better roleplays. If you drag on and on in a roleplay the reader will lose interest and will eventually stop reading your roleplays all together. The prez head usually senses this and therefore you will lose. Keep it fairly long, but DO NOT over do it. Do not make too short of roleplays Just as in the case of too long of roleplays. There can also be TOO SHORT of a roleplay. When your roleplays are too short, then they also do not hold the reader's attention because there is nothing there to grab their attention! If you make to short of roleplays, you will become a jobber.

Have a good subject to your roleplay. When you blabble on and on about many different subjects in one roleplay the reader tends to get lost and eventually loses interest. As said before, when you begin lose a reader's interest, you begin to lose matches.  Make the subject of your RP's not your opponent's name or the name of the show like "Tuesday Night Terror".  Make it something interesting like "Death is in the Air".

Create scenery for your roleplay. Be creative with your roleplay. Make it like you are in the locker room or at your house drinking some Jack Daniels. Adding scenery to your roleplays help the reader understand where you are, what your mood is, what your attitude is, and in a nut shell, who your whole wrestler is. But when adding scenery, no need to go over board.

Don't hurt another wrestler or employee in your roleplays. First of all, this is not a way to make friends in a federation, and second, you are basically breaking the roleplaying code. If you want to hurt another wrestler in your roleplays do it verbally, and make a fool out of them.

Don't be afraid to be a heel. I've been in quite a few feds where there was only one heel or someone the crowd dislikes, and that has been the president coping Vince McMahon or Eric Bischoff. It is great to have the crowd on you side but how are you improving your skills by using only crowd favorites?

Check your roleplay for spelling or grammar mistakes. A roleplay with a bunch of misspellings not only looks stupid, but it makes your wrestler look bad. You might be meaning something else, but because you worded it wrong, or spelled something wrong, they got a different message from you, and might cause you to look like a fool.

Name Calling! What for? Try not to call your opponet too many names it sounds stupid like for example( you stupid sh!thead.) that will not get you no where, you just kep roleplaying about the person not calling the person names, its ok to call your opponet a jobber every once and a while but not all the time so please keep name calling to a minimum.

If you lose you did not get screwed!!! Here we go. In e-wrestling we all win and lose. That is a given. But when some of us lose, we take it way to seriously. I am talking about saying that you were "screwed" or some shit like that. You weren't screwed at all. You lost for a very good reason. Now that reason could be one of many things, but it is there. These people that do this are the guys who think of e-wrestling as a "lifestyle" and not a fun hobby to do on the side. That is what really makes or breaks you my friends. If you whine to a president about being screwed, I wouldn't count on winning within the next few weeks, because in my mind, that insults his intellegence and judgement, and I don't like that. So when you lose, please keep it to yourself, because the efed presidents work hard at getting the fed up and running, wasting their time for you, and not getting paid for it.

Another good reason why you "think" you were screwed is because you are so damn cocky that you will win, you just expect it every damn week. Take wrestlers like (The Top ones is the fed your in) to name a few, now those guys seem to be winners in the world of e-wrestling. Yes, they have far more wins than they do losses, but losses do come up every once and awhile.

Now I know for a fact that some of those guys just get too adjusted to winning, and when the get "screwed" they whine to the president. Well fellas, that is another nail in the coffin for you. Some guys lose and just say "oh well". That is the smartest thing to do. Don't complain at all, after all it is just for fun, remember that. If you keep that in mind, you will most certainly be on your road to success.

Speaking of success, well what causes it? In my opinion the best thing you can do to get a great record is read the RP guides more than once. Keep your interviews fresh and full of suprises. If you win your first match and then lose the next three, don't whine, don't quit, take a look at your RP's and then at your opponents. If they seem to be drastically different, well then you need to be improving. If you quit, I wouldn't expect to make it anywhere in the world of e-wrestling, mainly because most of the efed presidents keep in contact with each other in some way or form, and bad news spreads fast. Now if you end up with a record of about 1-9, well then buddy, I would suggest changing your gimmick, reading RP guides, and start to actually think before you type some dumbass RP. It will help, trust me, I know.

In closing I would like to do a little review with you. If you lose, or get "screwed" as some would say, well then just shut the hell up and take it like a man, don't go whining to the president or other wrestlers. Remember, you lost for a good reason either way, so just take it. Good things will come out of it in some way if you just sit there and not get pissed. As an e-fed prez I always keep in mind the people who can take a loss and not cry about it. If you win, that is great, you earned it, but don't go whining, mainly because that makes efed presidents mad, and questions their judgement.   Below is a sample of a quality roleplay.

[The crowd is silent, all eyes looked upon the curtain, waiting for the newest member of the WWA's elite to show his face. :::BOOM::: Bombshells and many other explosives go off near the curtain as "spybreak!" kicks over the system. A man walks out of the curtain. He stands alone against the world. With one thought on his mind, Cruiser Title. He slowly begins his descent down the ramp to the floor. It is pitch black, his face has not been shown yet. His figure is seen walking up the steel stairs, and climbing through the curtain. The lights turn on all the sudden, the man is in the center of the ring, with a microphone in hand...]

The Man-- Since I am new here in the WWA, let me introduce my self to the world. My name is John Crichton. This is my first time in the ring. I signed with the WWA when the Prez gave me a call, my good friend Pollux Troy, told Prez about me. I am a former Navy Seal. I box here and there. But if you try any funny business, you better watch out. OK, enough about me.

[A reporter runs down to the ring, and walks up the steel steps, and climbs in the ring. with this, John is some what startled, and gets into his fight position. The reporter, with a name tag that says "Chip Fly," holds his hands out as if saying, "don't hurt me." The next thing that Chip does, he pulls out a piece of paper, with what looks like a few notes, only he can read it, because it looks like chicken scratch. He looks briefly at it, then looks up, and holds his microphone up. ]

Chip Fly-- Johnny boy, can I call you Johnny?

John Crichton--no, and if you call me that again, you will have a little hell to pay…

Chip Fly--Alright Johnny, I have a few questions for ya. My first question is, Why have you decided to join the WWA, when there are so many larger federations out there? I mean, don't you want to take over, in the bigger leagues?

John Crichton-- With due respect, as many have said this before, would you blow up the white house, or something else to take over? No, you would take the back door. And that is exactly what I am doing. I want my career to start off in a smaller federation, and work my way up. After the WWA, I plan to go to the WWF to work my way up. Then I will apply at the 420, to make something more of myself. Finally, I will go to the EWA, after I have made something of my self. To make a big impact on the world.

Chip Fly--OK, I get your point, What do you want to accomplish here in the WWA? Do you have your eyes set on any title, or person…

John Crichton-- First off, I would like a shot at the Cruiser Title. I don't care who I will fight, I will prove to you all that I am worthy of champs. I don't know any body here, but if some one decides to step out of line, I will have to take care of them, end of story. I also want to prove to the Playerz Club, that I am a valuable wrestler, and can help them out when they need it. Chippy, and I can call you that, my time is up…

[The lights go out, "spybreak!" kicks back over the system, and Crichton hopes the ropes, and walks back up the ramp as fireworks go off. His figure is seen by the glare of the bombshells, and Chip Fly is left in the ring…] (Note: You don't need to add this much scenery on your roleplays)
