This is an interesting idea about
creation. I know how it is when people begin to learn about physics and chemistry and
begin asking questions about what the bible says. There are a lot of good questions that
are tough to answer, but I’ll try to justify the bible from a Christian stand point, as best as I
can.
One of the reasons we have so many
questions about God and the universes is because we are beginning to learn things at a
more rapid rate. There are only a few things that I can tell you about God and the bible,
The bible, of course, was written quite a long time ago and it might have meant something
different in the past. A lot of the bible uses symbols, and can be interpreted in many
different ways. Though, I sometimes wonder if we weren’t meant to know why God
created the world the way he did. We can only simply think that God knew what he was
doing when he created the world.
We must also realize that when it
comes to praying, God works in mysterious ways. This means that God has his own way
of making miracles and answering prayers. One reason we might not be able to
understand the way God works, is because of the way we live. Obviously, we wouldn’t
believe in the super natural, because we don’t see it happen. Another effect on the way
we live, could be from our family and our peers. If you live around people who believe in
God, then you might as well believe he exists. If you live around people who don’t, then
you’ll more than likely turn to science.
I understand both sides in this
argument, because I am even beginning to questions my beliefs as well. It’s hard for me to
believe in something that I can not see physically. I don’t have all of the answers to these
difficult questions and there is certainly no way of convincing an atheist to become a
Christian. I believe that people should make their own choices and believe what ever they
want to believe. Though, for all of you who are struggling with the bible, all I can tell you
is to use your imagination and have "faith".
