In this chapter, The Tower of Babel, Man is finally getting along because the evil, and innocent, were all killed off by the "Great" Flood. A group of people (actually men since the Bible doesn't recognize women as equals) want to build a city with a huge tower in it so other cities would think highly of them. The tower would also unite all the people of the world, of course, with one language.
God didn't like the fact that men wanted to unite and get along so he said, "Come, le us go down and confuse their language so they will not understand each other."
The next part tells about Shem to Abram, something I don't want to cover because it is only genealogy. It tells the ages of all of Shem's and Terah's children.Atheist-
The only thing I can say about this chapter is the fact that God is confusing us. He "made" different languages. HURRAY!!! God wants to confuse us! Poor communication is one thing that led to war, so God is confusing us into war.
