When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the Lord came to him and said, "I will comfirm my convenant between me and you, and will greatly increase your numbers." God renamed Abram and Saria to Abraham and Sarah. Then God said, "this is my covenant with you and your descendants after you, the covenant you are to keep: Every male among you shall be circumcised." Every male must be circumciesed or else they will cut off from your people and will not have God's blessing anymore. God will let Sarah have a child at the age of ninety and Abraham is to call him Isaac. Ishmael is also going to be blessed and be the father of twelve rulers. That very day Abraham took every male in his household and had them circumcised. Abraham was the age of ninety-nine, and his son Ishmael was thirteen.
