"MARGARET L. JOHNSON Margaret Louise Stratton Johnson, 66, east Kansas City, died Dec. 25, 1991, at the home. She was born in Oxford, N.Y., and had lived in Bronx, N.Y.; Chicago; and Washington, D.C. She moved to this area in 1951. Mrs. Johnson received a bachelor's degree in English from Simmons College in Boston. She attended the Billy Graham School of Christian Writers in Minneapolis, the University of Missouri-Kansas City and Penn Valley Community College. She was a member and deacon of the Van Brunt Boulevard Presbyterian Church. She was a member of the Greater Kansas City Dog Training Club, the Boston Terrier Club of Topeka, the French Bulldog Rescue and the French Bulldog Club of America. She was a member of TOPS, Mutual Help of Heart of America Family Services, the Puppet Guild of Kansas City and the Scandinavian Club of Greater Kansas City. She was formerly a Girl Scout leader and a Cub Scout den mother. Survivors include her husband, Earl A. Johnson of the home; two sons, Eric C. Johnson, Sibley in Jackson County, and Curtis R. Johnson, Kansas City; a daughter, Karen Sue Johnson, Anna, Texas; a stepson, Earl A.
Johnson Jr., Jordan, Minn.; two stepdaughters, Erlene Chloupec, Bellevue, Neb., and Jacquelene Welander, Virginia, Minn.; her mother, Katherine Stratton, Norwich, N.Y.; a brother, Gilbert J.
Stratton, Campbell, Calif.; 14 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Jan. 5 at the church; cremation, with burial in Riverview Cemetery, Oxford.
The family requests no flowers and suggests contributions to the church."
