IN LOVING MEMORY OF KENNY IRWIN (1969-2000)

Kenny Dale Irwin Jr (August 5, 1969 - July 7, 2000)

Godspeed
by Annmarie Pascuzzi

You raced into our lives so quickly
and then, oh so suddenly,
you raced out again.
So much of your life you lived so fast.
Was is because you realized
how short it would be?
Noone had the chance to say goodbye,
but now our prayers go with you,
we who are left behind.
The race has not ended for you though,
one last finish line to cross,
into our Savior's hand...

Kenny Irwin News: Theres holes in the floor of Heaven and Kennys watching over you and me. One more star shines brightly from Heaven. I am very sad to report that Kenny Irwin was killed in a practice crash in Loudon New Hampshire on July 7, 2000. God bless you Kenny and may we never forget you.

This poem was written by me, Rachy, for the drivers we lost during the 2000-2001 seasons.

Remembered In Our Hearts Forever

Too many lives lost in one year,
Makes me watch my sport in fear.
So many lives taken,
In a sport we love called racin.

Ill never forget the day,
We lost Adam Petty in May.
We cant imagine how his family felt,
He had a smile that made your heart melt.

But then came that awful day in July,
And that made me cry.
For it was on day seven,
Kenny Irwin went to heaven.

Then came that October night,
And we all watched in fright.
It all happened so fast,
Then we learned Tony Roper had passed.

Then there was that last lap crash that made me frown,
On a February afternoon my world came crashing down.
We all learned our racing hero known as the "Intimidator" died,
Thats when so many of us in the world cried.

And as the angels came from the sky,
We wont tell you any lie.
A young driver took heed,
Blaise Alexander died fighting for the lead.

We miss these drivers dearly,
And we can all see clearly
As we watch as each cloud parts
We hold each driver near in our hearts

Hey yall. Welcome to my Kenny Irwin Page. (Last updated December 9, 2001). I added a poem that I wrote and I have a lot of pictures that need to be added yet from my Atlanta 2001 Race so look for those in the future. I also will try and update some of the tributes but that task has become personally harder and harder for me to do so ill try my best. I dont have much time to update the pages so I know a lot of the links or pictures no longer work. As you can see some of the pages have not been updated since 1999 so sorry about that. I am trying to keep as much of the page as it was when Kenny died also.

Thats it for now. Hope you enjoy and please check back whenever. Feel free to email or IM me anytime.
