Hey!!  It's the Saturday Night Art Corner!!!!
Ever get real bored on a Saturday night?  Well, Kristie and I did.  We didn't just sit around
and complain about it though, we got off our asses and did something, and now you're lucky enough
to get to see the results!  We call it copier art.  Let me tell you how it works, since I know you're just
dying to know.  First, you take an insane person *that would be me* and plant an idea in her head, one
that's really nuts.  Get her thinking about textures and colors and all that....anyways.  Then, get a hold of
a color copier.  Oh my goodness, my stepmom just happens to have one laying around!  Then get your
stepmom to help you do all the boring stuff, like put ink and it and everything, ok now put a bunch of stuff on the copier and hit copy.  Doesn't matter what kind of stuff it is, coins, lei's from your sister's graduation party, big knives, dusters, you name it, it works.  Spend 2 hours and waste a bunch of paper on your projects.  Figure out after you get done scanning them into the computer that you could've just used the scanner in the first place and saved ink and paper.  Don't care, we didn't.  Now...view our Copier Art!  It's all original, and it's not bad!  Some of the colors aren't as bright from the scans, but you'll get the general idea.  Enjoy!!  I'd like to add that no objects were hurt during this little project...not a one!
This is the picture that started it all.  It was my first.  It includes: little jewel thingies, the duster, a lei, and a fake plant.
There's some chili peppers in there too, but you can't see them at all.  I call it Grover In Hawaii.
This is Kristie's vision.  Chili peppers, a coiled cable, a shrunken head, Mt. Dew bottle caps
*she didn't win by the way* and the lei.  It's name you ask?  Chili Voodoo.
Jewels, some coins, a couple of earrings, and dragon candlesticks.  Oh, and a Chrysler ashtray.
This was Kristie's creation.  The backround is a painting of an owl that she did, and she wiggled it when the
copier was going to make it all blurry like that.  It's name is Hidden Dragon, Crouching Pirate.
This is my creation.  Using some of the same things as Hidden Dragon, Crouching Pirate, but I added a big
ass knife, and took away the backround.  I also threw the lei in there for color.  I call it Pirate Booty.
It's Kristie's tribute to Rattbelly!  That's what the sticker says, but
we had it too far over on the copier and it cut the Y off.  Muzak is it's name.
Kristie really liked this coiled cable, and she liked the color that the cd made in Muzak,
so she decided to throw that on there, along with the lei for a kind of a border.  We call it, Circle K.
The negatives were my idea, and the jewels were just a must in every
picture.  Kristie found some test strips of pictures that she had taken and it ended up turning out
pretty cool!  Louie's at the top, Kurt in the middle *DUH* and there's a strip of a rose to the left.
We call it, Negative Creep.  Todd actually named this one, after I said it was ironic that we had negatives
in with a picture of Kurt Cobain.  Genius's aren't we?  lol
Kristie calls this one, Highway To Hell.  She had to open a box of cereal to get that
car out!  Those are Kellie's keys and I threw the flame in there at the last minute, just cuz I wanted to.
Last, but not least, it's our Tribute To Rosebud.  We used the picture of Kurt again,
and added the rose that Suzy from the Post gave our stepmom *we didn't crush it, I swear!!* and
some leftover maroon velvet from some curtains Sue made.  Didn't turn out too bad, did it?
Wellll, there ya go!  That's how bored I was this week!  I hope you enjoyed our copier art, I highly recommend it to anyone that needs something to do and that is creative in any way at all.
Don't forget to check
out my buddy Adam's band, Ashley Rhodes!  While you're there, you'd better download all their songs,
because they rawk!!!!  Another band that you had better check out is Rattbelly.  I know the bassist, and
he really wants you to go download all their songs too!  In fact...Adam and Jason are both the bass players
in their bands.  Hmmm...odd coincedence, wouldn't you say??  Well, until the next time, I remain....
