10.25.18 - it is 2018, we have been broken up for over 6 months and i am updating this site. not only am i updating it, but it just added a new "videos" page. i have compiled every show i could find on youtube and added them to that page and to the past shows lists. enjoy them. i know i am.

02.21.18 - i'm getting serious flashbacks updating this site. so much of my life is contained in my crappy html code. i am so thankful angelfire still exists. anyway, onto the big news... we're breaking up! after 20 years, we have decided to bow out gracefully before we overstay our welcome (ha!). the exciting part, is that were going out with a bang! we are releasing a 2xLP Discography and to celebrate, we're playing to do two shows with our old friends MAJORITY RULE. the final shows are march 30th in chicago and march 31st in milwaukee. both shows are going to be bonkers and we hope you can make it out to at least one of them!

03.12.06 our 1st show of 2006 has been announced. it will be on saturday april 8th @ the shorewood legion hall with paige marshall, tornavalanche, hundred year hex (last show) and suruk. in other exciting news, kungfu rick is getting back together to play to celebrate the release of their 2xCD discography. the show is on aprill 22nd at the metro in chicago. more info at myspace.com/knfnr.

10.30.05 milwaukee fest was a blast. we played a few songs that we havent played in years, some of which we actually remembered the entire song!!! not too much to report. were trying to gather the troups for a short road trip, but we will see if that happens. the only other thing to report, is that weve got a new email address: sevendaysofsamsara@gmail.com. after over a decade, my parents finally got rid of aol and with that switch, skaisdumb@aol.com died. if youve written within the past few months and havent heard back from me, i probably didnt get it so you should probably resend it. if you send an email to the gmail account and i dont write back shortly after you write me, that just means im lazy.

09.07.05 only two months. not too bad. did you see the image on the front page?? holy shit!! i found it while doing a google search. are there other sdos tattoos out there?? damn. in other news, check out milwaukee fest. its a two day fest that im doing in mid-october. hope to see you there.

07.04.05 wow. six months without an update. i guess there really hasnt been anything going on for us. we lost sevendaysofsamsara.com and im trying to get it back, but no luck so far. if you know how i can get it, please let me know. also, were playing one show this summer. its at the shorewood legion hall and its with fucking seein' red. more info on the shows page. talk to you in six months.

01.21.05 maybe were not supposed to play out of town shows, or maybe were just never suppposed to see malady, but even though we were over three hours late to the show last night, it still was fucking awesome. we were able to play a three song set and i think we did a pretty good job. we should have pictures of the show up shortly, that is as long as mark wasnt just blowing smoke up my ass (or in other kdis faces). thanks to malady for letting us borrow their gear (again). envy, malady and pelican are playing tomorrow in madison, and there is really no excuse not to be at this show.

01.17.05 were playing this thursday at the bottom lounge in chicago with envy, pelican and malady. the show starts at 6 and were playing first. see you there!

12.05.04 some of you may know that envy is going to be touring the US for their first time this january. were fucking honored to be able to play with them when they come through chicago. them alone would be amazing, but when you combine it with pelican and malady and the fact that it will be our first chicago show since 2002, its going to be insane. it is not a show to be missed.

11.29.04 first off, thanks to zog for the owl santuary photos. secondly, weve finally put together the final edition of "a reason to sing." theyre available from us or stickfigure, ebullition and all the regulars will have them soon.

10.26.04 thanks to everyone who came out to the eigth note. it was the first time ive ever enjoyed playing there. maybe it was the awesome bands or tons of friends. those help. weve got new shirts and hoodies in the merch section. check em out!

10.03.04 the dates on the shows page have been fixed. the wrangler brutes show is tomorrow and the malady show in madison is this wedensday. hope to see lots of you there.

09.21.04 first update in a while. sorry. lots of shows, or at least a lot for us, in the near future. possible out of town shows too.

05.25.04 were not going to be playing the never say die fest afterall. that gives all of you a weeks notice to not go to see us. theres still some other awesome bands playing, but not us. were supposed to play with kodan armada and breather resist in milwaukee in early june, but 926 e center got busted, so im not sure theres a venue. we shall see.

05.13.04 thanks to everyone who came out to the two shows on saturday and thanks to andy for singing them. my voice was really fucked. i sounded like a cartoon version of michael jackson. andy knew the words to a few songs, so we played two short, sweet sets. i think it was our best cactus club show yet. shit, there were actually people there this time!!! the center st space got shut down over the weekend, so im not sure whats up with the kodan armada/breather resist show in june, but ill post it when i know more and we may or may not be playing michigan fest. stay tuned for detalis.

03.03.04 wow, some kids still give a fuck about us. we werent so sure, but wow. thanks to everyone who came out last night and to andy for setting up the show and to the other bands for playing. inspite of the kickboxing and shit that went on during all of the other bands, i actually had a good time, even though i fucked up my knee pretty bad. oh well. all in the name of rock. well have pictures of the show up soon.

02.12.04 we are flattered to be asked to play "never say die fest" memorial day weekend in detroit. theres a ton of rad bands playing including dillinger four, pelican, hewhocorrupts, and a ton more to be confirmed. we will post info as we get it.

01.19.03 our first show for 2004 has been posted in the shows section. its with the end, who is on relapse, and premonitions of war, who is on victory. yea, i think thats wierd too. i was a little hesitant to agree to play this show because im not a fan of the kickboxing that goes along with "moshier" hardcore, but well see what happens. im pretty sure at one point in the night i will say my usual "i fucking hate hardcore." we shall see.

01.14.04 alright. this is lame. now angelfire is putting ads on the actual page. no good. i guess that means its finally time to do what we should have done years ago. weve tried a few times, but it never ends up working out right, but heres what im looking for, someone to host this site for cheap or free, without ads of any sort, that i can update from anywhere with internet access. is this possible? let me know if you can help. thanks.

11.17.03 its almost 8pm and im still tired from last night. out of town shows that dont start till 9pm are what put the bags under my eyes. thanks to those who came out to the from ashes rise show in madison, especially those who drove from minneapolis & menomonee. its always fun to when menomonee is involved. no shows for a while, but we will be practicing, possibly writing new songs, but more likely, just relearning all of the ones we forgot.

11.11.03 thanks to everyone who came out to the halloween show. i mean, thanks to everyone except for one fucking annoying girl who doesnt know when to shut up. we had a great time and i hope you did too. we do have a few of the sdYO!s cds available, so email us if youre interested. on sunday were playing in madison with from ashes rise. itll be our last show for a while, so yes, it is worth the drive.

10.20.03 two new shirt designs are available online or at the halloween show. theyre our first new tshirt designs in a year and a half.

10.09.03 i got a box of the new 7"s in the mail today. they will be available at atomic later today, earwax this weekend, or from us at the unsane show this saturday. if youre from out of town, you can order one here.

10.04.03 ive been asked by a lot of people what unsane sounds like. youve all heard their name before, but arent quite sure why. im almost positive you have heard them at least once, you might not remember the song, but you will remember the video. a few years back they were the ones that had the video with all the skaters slamming. see, i knew youd remember them. what do they sound like? come and find out!!!

09.27.03 shows!!! two in october. one 21+ and one on halloween. all info in shows section. asides from that, i think im buying a house!!!

09.06.03 so yea, its a saturday night and i snuck into a computer lab at my old school to answer emails and update websites. i am a lame old man. on that lame old band tip, seven days isnt gonna make it out east for the last assistant show. theres a few reasons why, but none of those reasons involve us not wanting to be there. weve been looking forward to this trip for months, but the date they decided on just wont work for us and theres nothing we can really do about it. it totally sucks and im way bummed, but.... it was such an honor to even be asked to play that show. that band and the people in it mean a lot to us and we wish them the best in everything they do in the future.

08.28.03 the assistant is playing a final show on september 20th in new jersey and they have invited us to play it. if we do, we may play some shows on the way there and back, but nothing is set in stone right now. ill post info as we get it.

08.12.03 a good friend of ours, matt davis from the band ten grand/the vida blue, passed away suddenly on sunday. there is an online memorial at www.ten-grand.com. our hearts go out to matts family, friends and his brothers in ten grand. he touched the lives of millions and he will never be forgotten. please hug those who you love today and every day you get the chance. thank you.

07.08.03 holy fuck last night was fun! so many kids came out and i think pretty much everyone had an awesome time. the show ran really late and the nieghbors threatened to call the cops, so we had to cut our set short, but who cares. thanks to the pierce st house for hosting the show and to majority rule, snacktruck and the ultra dolphins for visiting our fair city. were out of the live 7" for now, but the real version with actual covers should be out by august.

07.07.03 there will be twenty-five limited edition versions of the "live on wnyu" 7" available at the show tonight. get there early and get a copy or wait a few months until the non-handmade versions are available.

06.14.03 theres a chance that if you all keep your fingers crossed the live 7" will be available at the show on july 7th with majority rule. im serious. keep your fingers crossed. if you dont, who knows what will happen. maybe well have to back out of the show at the last second. ha.

05.17.03 shitty news from the live front. pretty much every show we were planning on playing in the near future is off. we wont be able to play the soophie/since by man show due to prior comitments and unfortunatly, we also wont be playing orlando fest. yes. this totally sucks. on a less sucky note, my new band, HIGH ON CRIME is playing our first show on sunday at the fireside. our first milwaukee show is on tuesday at 926 e center w/ kylesa, leval blessing and blackwall hitch. our 9 song demo will be available at the shows.

05.07.03 we got the test presses of the "live on wnyu" 7" in the mail the other day and they sound pretty rad. this record should be out by the time we play orlando fest. its got two unreleased songs along with live versions of "you elbow me, i elbow you" and "bury your head." thanks to eddie for getting that record out and congratulations to david robinson from new york for being the first to buy something via paypal. for me, it was kinda exciting and i actually sent his records out as soon as i realized he had ordered them. ill do my best to get shit mailed out asap.

04.18.03 i recenly signed up for a paypal account, so you can buy shit directly from us online now by clicking here. were trying to get rid of the few shirts we have left, so if you wear large or extra large... also, were playing the globe next week. 21+ with no direction and maybe blackprint, which is the new john brown battery band. its one of the last globe shows ever. for as much as i said i hated the place and for all of our attempts to turn it into a pile of ashes, im gonna miss the place. so yea, come say good bye to it with us.

04.12.03 it looks like were going to be playing orlando fest after all this year. its going to be the only show that were going to play in that part of the country this summer, so if you live in the south east, it might be worth a little time in a car. some of the other bands that are playing include against me, kylesa, majority rule and a whole shitload of others. check out the webpage for more info.

04.09.03 no pop ups!!! thanks to ryan durkin for the code. i also added pictures from the last time i busted my head open. it was from a show at depaul university that for some reason wasnt listed on our past shows page. so i fixed that and renumbered everything and yea. enjoy the lack of ads.

3.24.03 the exam show was fun. nice small space, nice loud bands. some have said it was the best weve ever played. i dont know that it was, but regardless it was nice to hear. thanks to everyone at the house for hosting the show, putting up with the noise and the mess and tolerating the egos of an ungrateful touring band.

03.15.03 holy shit! were gonna play an all ages show in milwaukee!!! the show is next wednesday, march 19th and its at a house on center st. examination of the and our friends from the natti, the dead hate the living are gonna play along with some other milwaukee folk. spread the word and well see you in the attic.

03.13.03 thanks to everyone who came out to the last minute asschapel show last night. it kicked ass. a good number of people showed up and all of the bands had fun. we were worried that we were gonna get shut down for being too loud on a weeknight, but we survived. thanks to kevin/cutie for setting up the show and playing and for onopa for allowing the weeknight show.

03.05.03 ummm... sorry. ive heard of at least one carload that made a go for it in the storm yesterday, got to the fireside and had to stay down their cuz their car broke down. that sucks. due to the weather we were unable to make it to the yaphet kotto/cavalry show at the fireside. i was so excited for that show, not only to play but also to play with two totally awesome bands and see a ton of friends. i know. we totally suck. we have no shows scheduled at this time and i think were gonna lay off booking them until we know the sun will be shining down on us.

12.31.02 seven days of samsara is 4 years old. yesterday marked the 4 year anniversary of andy joining the band and the day before that marked the 4 year anniversary of our first show. with that, were moving into a new era. finally a web page without the pop-up windows. thanks to chris at haxors.com for giving us a new home. www.sevendaysofsamsar.com will be down for a bit, but hold in there. everything will be better than ever shortly. once again, happy new year and go support bosio on tour.
