What I believe

I believe, I believe. It's silly, but I believe. --"The Miracle on 34th Street"

Most people have absolutely no idea about how the metaphysical universe works. Some people have a faint glimmer of a clue, but don't know why they think what they think.

I know what I know because I was shown.

One night, while sleeping, I was shown a picture of the universe of beings. It was a great river, flowing through the heavens... each being was a drop of water within the river. Sometimes, drops of water would leave the river (i.e. be born into a worldly existence). Others would join with the river (i.e. die out of a worldly existence).

What does it mean? I don't know. But when I was given this vision by the Almighty, there was no mention of Jesus, no thoughts of Christianity or other religion. Just a very simple principle... we're all part of the same big thing.

And then, I turned around to ask a question. All I could see was the river.

I realized, God is not an individual; There is no single entity that is God.

God is the collection of everything.

I'm not God. You're not God. The tree isn't God. But if you put everything together, we're God.

Certainly, it seems a strange concept at first. No single supreme being. But together as a collective, all the life everywhere is supreme.

Those many religious texts all hint at the truth. "As you do unto others, so do you do unto me" finally becomes meaningful. It isn't just "be nice to people"; it's respect the Almighty of which you are a part.

Fictitious works all come closer and closer to the truth as people come closer and closer to readiness for the truth. "The Grapes of Wrath" begins mentioning this (bonus points if you remember that small part of the book), "Star Wars" suggests we are all interconnected through "the Force", etc.

It's all real.

And it's not silly.

And I do believe. Not just a matter of faith and patience.. I know the truth.

And the truth has set me free.
